Dance music news

According to the Dutch site Musicitems.be, singer Jessy De Smet has left the Mackenzie feat. Jessy. We hope we’ll still hear from her in the future!

Apparently Mackenzie Records found a replacement for her, Kelly. According to some rumours we read on a forum she’s around 19 years old. The first performance of the Mackenzie with Kelly will be on April 20th 2002 on the 6th birthday of Topradio TRL in Eeklo.

Another release from Art Music Group:

Prism – Edge of Heaven will be released on vinyl in Belgium on February 25th. Spain will also see this vinyl soon. The company Toco International has also signed this track and this company does releases in Africa, Asia, Australia and more!

A CD Single will certainly follow in Belgium. We’ll keep you updated about the exact date!

Some info about the people behind the Prism project:

Ariane Jansoone is a newcomer in the Belgian producer scene (and one of the only belgian female producers!). Together with Liam Mc Fish, a scottish producer, they produced Edge of heaven. Liam Mc Fish already worked together with Regi Penxten and Milk Inc. on their first hit La Vache.

The 12 inch vinyl contains an original mix, an instrumental mix and Regi’s Remix. The style is commercial dance crossover with a Jam & Spoon guitar sample.

It’s the end of an era … Belgium’s biggest club is no more. Zillion has always been the subject of a lot of controversy: the club never had all the necessary licences and, not so long ago, the club was critized for its raunchy Zillion Zundays.

But now that Frank Verstraeten is in jail, the club is truely finished. Tuesday, February 26th, a public sale will be held in Zandhoven where are the items that were used in the club will be sold (from lighters to the mechanical dancefloor).

Perhaps one day, Zillion will find a new home in a different location (probably with a new owner), but until that time we can only say goodbye to one of the hottest places in Belgium.

We don’t have a biography page yet for Systematic Parts, but they surely are Belgians and already known by their quality track Violin de la nuit.

Their new track is called Don’t walk away and they won the voting of last weeks Judge Jules Essential radio programm on BBC Radio 1. They got 55% of the votes. That triggered a flow of requests from the UK to Art Group Music (AGM) !

The release of the CD Single Flesh & Bones – Rigor Mortis has been changed because of great demand. From tomorrow on (February 22), you can buy the new dancetrack on CD single. (the original plan was March 1st)

The vinyl is already 6 weeks in the TOP10 of the Ultratop Dance. This week it’s on number 8

The videoclip has been shot on 2 different locations and with 6 different camera’s, that’s pretty much for a Belgian videoclip production.

The videoclip has been made by Peter Van Eyndt who also works for TMF and shot various videoclips for Milk Inc., Zornik and more in the past.
