Kate Ryan won the Best Selling Benelux Artist Worldwide award on last Sunday’s World Music Awards. The awards are given by IFPI, the international federation for the music industry and are based on actual album and single sales across the world. Seeing that Kate’s album Free was released in over 40 countries and that she scored a big hit with Ella Elle L’a, this award comes as no surprise. And perhaps there is more to come, seeing that she is also nominated for Best International Song in the biggest Spanish Awards Show which will take place in December.
