In the 2009 Ultratop singles overview charts, the big winner was Lady GaGa (multiple entries and the overall number 1 position). So how did our big dance bands do? Milk Inc. has the highest entry at number 22 with Blackout. Sylver follows closely at number 29 with Foreign Affair (the band also makes it to number 60 with I Hate You Now). AnnaGrace is noted once at number 38 with Let The Feelings Go, followed by Lasgo in the number 39 spot.
In the 2009 album charts, Sylver makes it to the number 38 spot with Sacrifice and Lasgo only barely enters the top 100 at the number 95 position. But off course in the dance charts we see quite different results with a victory for AnnaGrace, who makes it to the 2009 number 1 spot! Lasgo has 2 entries in this chart at number 20 (Gone) and 80 (Lost).
Overall not a bad score for our bands, although we think that Lasgo might have wanted to end up a bit higher given al the promotion surrounding their comeback. Let’s see how they do in 2010!
Loaded Gun, the new song by Regi and Tyler is off to a promising start in the Ultratop singles charts. In its first week, the track entered the chart just outside the top 10, at the eleventh position. Good work and let’s see where it gets to next week.
This weekend, 2 Unlimited went to the studio to record a new single. The duo, who were very popular in the nineties have recently come in the picture again. According to the press release, Ray and Anita will have a large contribution to the new song. The single will be released in January 2010, but it is yet unknown under the name 2 Unlimited or not.
The bad weather is causing problems for the party people: Soulwaxmas (Soulwax / 2 Many DJs and their guests) had to be postponed seeing that everyone is stuck in Dover. But don’t despair: the show will go on December the 22nd!
The fourth single of Lasgo’s album is Over You. In its third week on the charts, the single has reached the number 23 position in the Ultratop singles chart. You can watch the video for Over You on youtube.
AnnaGrace’s third single, Love keeps calling, has been received very well. The track is now number 3 in the Ultratop dance charts and is getting a lot of attention on radio stations. Looks like another hit for AnnaGrace.
As you have seen, it has been quiet on the site because Wim has become a father ( congratulations Wim ) and I was busy with my studies. however we will start posting news again this weekend !
It’s been a long time coming, but early November the new single by Zippora called What about our future was released. The single was produced by Laurent Wery, Carlos Meire and Serge Ramaekers. Let’s see if it can match her previous hits (Lotus Eater, See The Sun). The single is available with a bunch of remixes (Extended, Niels Van Zandt remix, Merayah’s remix cut, Robert Abigail’s Classic remix). Tells us what you think !

I don’t know what will happen to us when we are over 60 but edition 61 of Belgium’s longest running club compilation Serious Beats is still going strong with yet another killer tracklist.
Once again, Serious Beats brings you a 3CD box with no less than 33 upfront commercial club tunes, all in their uncut, full-length glory. Serious Beats 61 kicks off with the Tiesto remix of the Editors number 1 track Papillon and continues with Chuckie’s hyped track Let The Bass Kick In Miami Bitch. But it doesn’t end there with other exclusive tracks such as John Dahlback’s Autumn, David Guetta’s floorfiller GRRRR and Valodja by Steve Angello. But there is much more… how about Moby remixers Prok & Fitch with their uplifting new release Naga, the mindblowing Hardwell remix of Bob Sinclar’s Peace Song and the catchy gimmick song Guten Morgen Sonnenschein by Tobias Schulz. Go check it out!
Be ready for the biggest club compilation of 2009!
