Somebody should really do something against all the spambots that are spamming the forum 24/7 ... half of the posts are spam-posts :roll:

I don't know a solution though :oops:

Yes please do something about spambots, it's disgusting and stupid :evil:

britney brutally .... So moderators what will you do, please move on is horrible to find that new posts are only spambots!!! :evil:

I always delete spam in spanish forum but it's a lot today! There's 8 spam post in our forum in just one day! :shock:

I delete them too , but that's no solution for it.
And it seems like it's getting worse each day.

Wim/admin i hope you can fix this.

Btw can a moderator get rights to IP-ban someone ?
So we could hold them off a bit.

For now got some cleaning to do ...

EDIT : seems like people still can log in as guest , disable that !

No... Danceprogressiveboy and I have decided not delete more spam post in the spanish forum until the admin see and get a solution for this.

IP-banning won't help i'm afraid ... the old bots will just be replaced with new bots :roll:

... of overschakelen op een nieuw soort forum (niet phpbb dus), maar dat is wel de allerlaatste oplossing, als er echt niets meer lukt

Maar één ding is zeker, het forum is op deze manier niet leefbaar meer ...

Hi Woussie, Zaro,

I just installed an extra mod which changes the sign-up process (check it out, you'll see what is different, and if you refresh the page, ... it'll be different again).

This should stop the automatic spambots.

We're already running the latest version since half of November & guest posting has always been disabled? Where did you see this?

Now still todo is to delete the existing spam accounts...

When I delete an account of spambot, but didn't delete one of his messages yet, he'll show up as guest afterwards.

So if you still see somewhere a Guest posting, let me know, I'll delete the page.

I deleted some spam accounts today, but there are probably still ones I need to kick out. So if you still see an account creating a spam message please let me know and I'll delete it.
