Silvy De Bie or Sylvie De Bie ?

Postby zaro » Wed Oct 08, 2008 10:21 pm

Something that i noticed is that there are 2 name variations :
Silvy De Bie and Sylvie De Bie.
I noticed that because of silvy appearing in the p-magazine:
recently:

some years ago :

On their official site its written 'silvy', and i always wrote it like that ...so what's up with these 2 variations ?

Yea, I wondered about that too.

According to the Wikipedia page, it's SILVY

I just think it's a variation because I've seen it both ways although generally the more popular spelling is Silvy De Bie.

Someone just needs to ask Silvy/Sylvie herself. :-)

Well, I'm very very sure it's Silvy De Bie not Sylvie :)

i know this is gonna sound kinda mean but who cares which one it is? i mean unless silvy was getting mad about the fact that they mispelled her name then it woud be an issue. just look in the booklets of the sylver cd's and see what it says as well as the thanks linda puts out to her in the milk inc cd booklets. that should solve it quick. other then that. . .whats the big deal? i think the smusic is the focal point to her not her name.

it's silvy de bie

sum countries use the variation sylvie as a translational thing. . .

Looks like someone can't handle a little point of discussion here (btw that what forums are for).
Maybe i phrased it wrong but my question isn't actually what her real name is , it is Silvy (it's wroted on the site as well on their cd's) i know.
But why the mixup.
But a famous magazine (well here in belgium) they wrote it wrong recently while they wrote it right a few years back... so did Silvy wanted it to wrote like that maybe ?

The only explanation i can think of is that Sylver leads to Sylvie because of the 'y' at the same place.

Maybe i can ask this magazine ...
