Peter Luts & Dominico - What A Feeling at BPM:TV

Postby Gino Lebrun » Thu Jan 25, 2007 4:35 am

The video of Peter Luts & Dominico - What A Feeling is playing at BPM:TV (the only dance channel in Canada). The video entered in the Hot 20 Dance Chart at the position 19 and this week is at the position 12. This video is very funny.

Also, the video of another song of Peter Luts is playing. I talk about Ian Van Dahl - Just A Girl. The video was number 1 last week and this week is number 2.

That's good news ! Here in Belgium the single didn't even reach the official top 50 chart ... the video got lots of airplay, Peter even did "promo work" for the single ... and still ... not in the charts. I really had expected more from this in Belgium =( ...

Generally the chart ratings of dance are going downhill here ... it still gets airplay, but almost nobody seems to buy the singles ... at the charts you can clearly see sales are dropping fast, of any kind of music by the way ... singles stay way longer in the top50, and very few new singles make it to the charts ... it's a shame, it's a shame

I didn't know why these songs are not very liked in Belgium. They are so good. Peter Luts is one of the best producers from Belgium.

What are the songs the people like these days in Belgium?

I was only talking about sales, i'm pretty sure people liked "What A Feeling", it got airplay - not massive, but enough -, the video was also pretty popular on the music channels ... I don't know how much copies there are sold off course, but if it's not in the top50 in a little country like Belgium, i guess you can't call it a sales succes :| ...

Ian van Dahl - Just a Girl did ok in the charts, by the way. It has been 2 weeks in top30, i think. Not as good as in the glorious days of "Belgian dance", but certainly not a bad result.

But popular dance music here  ? Milk Inc. and Sylver still do very well, and those international house succes singles are also pretty popular (for example the latest Supermode, Chris Lake, Eric Prydz, Bodyrox ...)
