New Ian Van Dahl single : Just A Girl

Postby woussie » Wed Jun 07, 2006 8:23 pm

The new Ian Van Dahl single will be : "Just A Girl"

The vinyl will normally be released later this month, 26/06/2006 to be exact ;) The single will probably follow very soon i guess ... If i can believe the A&S website, it's a song by Peter AND David again :D yeah ...
The videoclip of "Just A Girl" is also already shot in Paris ...
And last but not least, an album will be released end of this year ...

I'm really excited :p ... let's hope David puts IvD back on the rails again ... i think the IvD singles from David and Peter rocked, it were the two latest one only produced by Peter that weren't that good ... i hope it isn't too much house/electro though

Good news.

Can't wait to hear it.

I don't think the tune will be with house or electro beats. They will make remixes with these sounds.

I only heard some samples so it's actually too soon for judging but yeah it's electro again. So i guess the album will be no different , pitty. They had released such a great (2nd) album. The song starts nice , though (the sample is too short to hear the chorus). The basto! club mix sounds very promising (for me :P).

Seem like the release is 25/06/2006

Thanks zaro for the link to hear the samples.

The song sounds good and the two remixes too.

You're right zaro about the Basto Remix. I'm sure it will be a very good remix.

Well... I still missing the old Ian Van Dahl stile but this single is good for me. It's better than Movin' On! I'll put the link in the spanish forum, ok?

Loving the beat on the radio edit. Much better than "Movin' On". Can't wait to hear the complete single.

I really like the sound of this one! It's a much better dance song than 'Movin' On' I think it sounds great :D

Hmm ... first of all, i also think it's better than Movin' On ...

but second, i think the "i'm ready for love" vocal sounds a bit weak ... where are the beautiful lyrics ? I know it's hard to judge 30 second samples but it seems like this is another "Movin' On" ...

third; maybe it's not really a bad thing, but IvD is supposed to be "trance", that's how lots of people see them, that's how they became succesful ... this single is even more electro, and i don't think many people will like it ... lots of people will agree with Typher i think ;)

Ian van Dahl lost a lot of credit with the style of the last two singles, and i'm sure they will lose more credit with this one ... i don't know what to think. I don't care that Peter and David want to make electro/house, they made beautiful songs in that style, but they seem to be blind that people want Ian van Dahl and Lasgo to be trance ...

You're 100% right when you said that people want IVD and Lasgo to be more trance. I want it too but I think David and Peter make better songs with Ian Van Dahl than with Lasgo (the Lasgo's music after Surrender).
