Re-make of Ian Van Dahl - Castles In The Sky

Postby Gino Lebrun » Sat May 12, 2007 8:39 am

On a live set of The Real Booty Babes (The_Real_Booty_Babes_-_Live_at_EMC_Stollberg_(SSL)-04-21-CABLE-2007-UME), I hear a very good cover of Ian Van Dahl - Castles In The Sky.

Does someone know the name of a recent cover of Castles In The Sky?

I didn't know you're on EA too. It's where I found this live set.

Finally someone said all the tunes he know of this live set and the name of the re-make is : Liz Kay - Castles In The Sky (Cascada Remix).

Dj Manian (one of the producers of Cascada) is the producer of Liz Kay. So, it's the third re-make of the classic songs from Belgium made by Dj Manian:
- Diamond - Reason
- Dj Manian - Turn The Tide
- Liz Kay - Castles In The Sky

The DJs of The Real Booty Babes seems to have exclusive songs because Zooland Records don't say nothing about this song on their website.

actually the song reason by diamond is not a cover of ivd's reason. it's a seperate song. diamond is a project name before cascadacame to be so it has the same vocalist of cascada and everyone thinks that reason is like an unreleased cascada song. there is a cascada remix of it though. but anyways, listen to this version of thsong reason by diamond and tell me what song you guys thnk this remix/version is trying to rip off of? anyone saying lasgo "something"? lol

reason is a good song and would probably be a good hit if it were re-released under cascada but it would have to be a little different to override copyright laws and stuff. but good song. hate liz kay's version of castles in the sky and dj manian royally messed up turn the tide!! it's a trance song, not a cascada sounding dance song!!
lol

I've had it with this fella, can't he just leave great tracks alone. The result of a cover can only be worse not better (you can't even compare). I just don't like his sleazy dance (the same boring beats with no feeling the music and a cheap melody).I can't believe people buy this ****.

i wonder when cascada is releasing the 2nd cd. i mean if it took them 3 weeks to make "everytime we touch" then it shoukldn't be so hard to make a second cd, unless the sound is actually going to be varied, that would be nice! i mean, yea they have thesame annoying beats and blah blah blah but its still pretty fun dance music. its more like playtime music while the good stuff like ivd, milk inc and sylver are more for real music lovers.

Me too, I wonder when they will release the second album. Until this time, you can listen their lastest remixes:
- Italobrothers - Counting Down The Days (Cascada Remix)
- Apollo - Dance 2007 (Cascada Remix)

and "Manian Ft Aila - Heaven (Cascada Remix)" ... *sigh*

i think i'm really starting to hate this guy. One by one, he's ruining all my favourite dance classics (Turn The Tide, Castles In The Sky, Heaven,... what's next  ?) Is it just my opinion or do some people think Manians versions are actually better than the original classics ?

I certainly hope no one thinks his versions are better.

Nothing will replace the classics...anyone who thinks Manian's butchered versions of these songs are better, would have to be deaf...

"Heaven" is the worst song to cover, considering that DJ Sammy's version is only about 5 years old...and it should go without saying, but we don't need another dance cover of an 80's song...PLUS Eyra Gail also covered that song too in 2002, I don't think anyone wants it again.

His versions are not better than the originals but I find they are good. I love the originals but as the same I like Cascada music style too.
