Lasgo - My First Love

Postby Gino Lebrun » Mon Apr 03, 2006 9:50 pm

Yesterday, I found this tune. I want to know if it's a true Lasgo's song. If it's true, when was it be released? Is (Are) there other song(s) of Lasgo which is not on Far Way or Some Things?

You're right. I found the right title. It's Lovestern Galaktika meets Dance Nation - My First Love. Someone on Internet doesn't write the good artist name. Also, I thought it was Lasgo because the voice is the singer in this song looks like the voice of Evi Goffin.

You're right, the correct name is, as you said, Lovestern Galaktika Project meets Dance Nation - My first love
This song is released in 2003, and never became a hit here in The Netherlands.

I don't know who Lovestern Galaktika Project is, but Dance Nation had some big hits with 'Words', 'Dance!' and 'You take me away'. All the songs have the same 'typical' sound.
These days is Dance Nation better known as 'Double Nation' and since they changed their name they also have a female singer. They released under the name 'Double Nation' two singles, 'I'm gonna get you (2004)' and 'Move your love (2005)' (both covers yes :)). These songs never became hits.

Thanks for the info. I have another question. The only song that I know of Dance Nation is Sunshine. Was it released before they changed their name?

Yes, 'Sunshine' was their debut single.

You can check their official website at http://www.dance-nation.nl/

Chronical list of their releases:

Dance Nation - Sunshine (2001)
Dance Nation - Dance! (2002)
Dance Nation - Words (2003)
Dance Nation - You take me away (2003)
Lovestern Galaktika Project meets Dance Nation - My first love (2003)
Double Nation - I'm gonna get you (2004)
Double Nation - Move your love (2005)

As you can read on their site, they released an album in Japan, the title is:
Sean & Kim - Trance Champion

Strange they used the names of the singers instead of 'Double Nation'.
This is the tracklist:
1. Sunshine - (studio)
2. Season In The Sun - (studio)
3. Beach Time - (studio)
4. Wa - (studio)
5. Livin' On A Prayer] - (studio)
6. You Take Me Away - (studio)
7. Move Your Love - (studio)
8. Please Don't Go - (studio)
9. I'm Gonna Get You - (studio)
10. Rise And Shine - (studio)
11. Dance - (studio)
12. Celebrate Your Life - (studio)
13. Words - (studio)
14. Fallin For You - (studio)
15. Move Your Love ( Sham-poo Remix) - (studio)
16. Sunshine ( Wippenberg Remix) - (studio)
17. Japanese Title - (studio)

Before I read the site, I didn't knew they released an album, so I can't tell you anything about an album in Europe. I suppose they only released an album in Japan.

So I guess it was because they've added a singer, and indeed, it wasn't a huge succes...

Dance Nation (so they changed their name back! :?: ) just have released a new single! It's called 'Ridin' high'.
And you can guess... still their same typical style, but after I've heared this song a few times, I'm beginning to like it!

You can watch their new video here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=OIpv8tjkIx8

And don't forget to check their site with a lot of videoclips:

The new song is good. The beat sounds like the dance music in the 90's.
