Postby Panda » Sat May 24, 2008 1:21 am

Okay all i can say is wow, i really like the album, a lot more french songs but i think that is cool, well down the Kate Ryan.

http://www.7digital.de/artists/kate-ryan/free/13-Free/

Don't buy the tracks from here as they aren't out yet and they are in crummy wma not mp3, i'll probably buy my copy from amazon on launch day.

Wow - i really like some of the lyrics on this album - i can really relate to the song free and i really love: Tes Yeux, Take me down. Interesting.
Loving Lasgo + Ian Van Dahl - I can't wait to see them live.

i only own her 1st 2 cd's and i am not really a big fan of alive. but i think that despite there being lots of french lyrics, this cd is very well produced. i love the sound of the many oif the songs especially FREE. it's such a beautiful way to end the cd. i'm tempted to get alive just to complete the kate ryan series and this cd as well. what a good cd this is going to be. go KATE RYAN GO!!!!

This cd is such an amazing comeback for Kate....I know people didn't care for Alive very much but that album has grown on me so much that I prefer it to Stronger (which I now think is her weakest!...and yet the 1st released in the US! LOL)

This album....should be HUGE based on those samples alone...I am beyond impressed with it...

Lovely! really love this great album! for me all tracks sounds very very nice! This album sounds like Dina's (Caroline Dina Kongerud) 1st album but a little bit more electro/pop! Keep up Kate :D

btw, who's Kate Ryan Producer?!

After a good listen i can't say that Kate filled my expectations. After the info we got that her album would be more electro and dance ...well a little yeah but still too much poplike imo, i expected more "drive" in the songs and with even more crazy/funky electro sounds (like in the 1st album). That's why i only like 'sweet mistake' a little (and 'ella elle la').

yes, I miss her first album (99% trance2dance and 1 % pop)
now we got 99% pop and 1 % dance (if you can classify sweet mistake as dance at all, it's pop too :? )

I mailed to proxis, but they couldn't give any info :?

Someone posted the correct tracklist and it's the English version...

Maybe on www.bol.com they have the French version, but it doesn't show a tracklist...

I've seen the both versions on i-tunes though...

I have heard it's the german release which has the 3 extra french songs, well in fact it has 3 songs sung in french in stead of English

I just call it "French version" becuz of the amount of French songs

I found it weird that they just didn't include the french tracks, just like with Different (the first cd) and Alive (her previous album)

On Different they were 3 bonus tracks

Mon coeur résiste encore (album version) - - Scream for more

Nos regard qui m'enflamment (edit) - - In your eyes. The french tracks was shorter. I believe nos regard... was a b-side of one of the singles internationally. I also saw Kate preforming this song

Ne baise pas la tête - - Head down

Alive

The french versions of "Je t'adore", "Alive", and "How Many Times" were added. The last one was renamed "Combien de fois".
Also it is/was rumoured that the French version of "Je t'Adore" was the original version and was later translated into English becuz of the problems between Flemish & French speaking people in Belgium.

The Flemish people wouldn't be so eager to send a French song to the Eurovision...

I think on the re-release of Different the edit of "In your eyes" was added in stead of the original, longer version.

Also the radio edit of "Mon coeur resiste encore was added in favour of the album version.
The same was done for the original "scream for more". It was renamed as the "2002 radio edit".

The real bonus track was "Libertine".
"Libertine" was also added to the international release of "Stronger", her second album along with "La promesse", the French version of "The promise you made". In Belgium "La promesse" was only availeble as the b-side of "The promise you made"

I love this album now I've listened to it about 6 times constantly over the past 2 days! :D

I ordered it from Proxis and was excited when I got it in the post about 10 days later (here in New Zealand).

The songs on the album besides the singles Voyage, Voyage/We All Belong, L.I.L.Y., and Ella Elle l'a took a few listens for me to enjoy them. A bit different from the tracks on Alive, but great all the same!

Well done Kate!
