You're right. I feel the same. These two songs with Désenchantée are the best songs of Kate Ryan. I don't like her style in her second album.

The album is gonna be more pop then stronger, it's gonna be dance but a different kind of dance... that's whta kate said in an interview

je t'adore -> pure (eurovision) pop

driving away -> reminds me abit of gabriel rios, especialy the intro

all for you -> was supposed to be the next single instead of alive; great feel good dancy pop song (kate preformed this song)

alive -> a mix of basto & the minogue sisters; fresh tune

nothing -> great verses but the chorus lacks a bit of energy

alive french version -> nice translation & i still think kate is beter in french

i look forword to the album & the french songs

the front cover & tracklist of the album + some ducth comment saying that we had to wait a bit longer for the new album to released, the album has an international sound, the major sound is pop but with a dancy edge & nice beats, kate is still 'alive' after eurovision & we get 4 bonustracks in french

After listening to the samples, I like ''Je t'adore'', ''Why Imagine'' and ''Love or Lust'' but I don't like the rest of the album. I don't like pop music.

Not the kind of "dance edge" that i had in mind...she nomimated for 'Best Pop' for the tmf awards this year i guess this says it all.

Mmm ...yeah maybe 'why imagine' but that's about it (have to listen to the album a little bit more).

You're right Zaro. We have to hear the album before saying anything but Kate Ryan is not as good as she was at the beginning. Désenchantée is a classic and now she is not at her best. Maybe some other people like Kate Ryan with her new sound but me I prefer his old commercial trance sound.

Well I "got" the album now. After having a quick listen nothing really catched me (i guess i was looking for something that kate ryan doesn't wanna make anymore). But after listening over and over again some songs grow on me but still in little proportions (it's like the latest lasgo album i can listen to it but it's not really what i wanted/expected).

driving away > nice ballad
spinning around > kate's voice makes me like it , electronic part lacks power
why imagine > electronic part is quite repetitive but it's nice , this songs misses a "build-up"
stepping out > this has something exotic/tropical , i like this one the most atm
