JESSY - STOP THE GAME NEW SINGLE!

Postby abominus » Fri Jun 06, 2008 7:31 pm

Okay kids, check this out.

I am going to give you the chance to listen to Jessy's brand new single 'Stop The Game.'

It's a little electro-ish. Yes, I do feel that they should not have "jacked up" her voice that much but I still welcome this single. It's better than 'Getting Out' and MILES away from 'Show Me Heaven' in my opinion.

New album comes out in October.

This is the link to the 2 minute or so sample from a Topradio broadcast that she appeared on today (6-6-2008) She was not on the show for long and I could not understand what was being said but regardless, follow the link, listen to the single and please my friends, comment and discuss:

MOD EDIT: Sorry man but this kind of links aren't allowed. You can share it through email.

**This is not the whole single by the way. You will have to buy it once it hits the stores**

From Tampa, Florida,

No you are not dave. I used to do that MANY times.

Many years ago, back in..........1996 through 2002 I used to party a lot back in South Beach, Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, which were about 2-3 hours drive from where I am at and there was this station there called Power 96. Back then, they would play all sorts of cool dance mixes and things that I could not hear where I lived so I took my Yamaha stereo receiver and (at the time) an Onkyo single deck cassette deck and I bought all of these blank tapes. Maxell, that was the brand I went with. I use the get the Type 2s, the hi-bias ones (hey dave, remember the types of tapes? Normal, Hi Bias and Metal. Oh man am I going back in time!)

Anyways, the Onkyo deck had auto reverse recording and I would load it up with my 90 minute tapes and go out partying and let it record. I got some great tunes out of it.

I still have those tapes. I NEVER got rid of any of them. Anyways, the music was a bit trancy, House, Dance but not the Belgian stuff.

Those were glorious years :D

But I do not do that anymore. Power 96 went to Rap/Hip-Hop years ago and the other station we had over close to us in Orlando (yes, where Mickey Mouse is) went to Rap too :?

So there. That's my radio taping stories for ya 8)

I was recording from Italian radio stations because I used to visit my aunt who lives in Rome.

I still have recorded songs and interviews from 1994-98

Italian radio stations used to be so eurodance friendly. Not anymore.
Now there's only house and electro.

Personally, I think that 'Show Me Heaven' is Jessy's worst performance so far. Mostly in part because I am not a fan of Mickey Modelle's production/sound. The original mix of 'Over You' is better than the damn remix he did!!! :?

'Show Me Heaven' is just sloppy. The video is crap as well.

In other words, as I have said it before:

Getting Out and Stop The Game>Show Me Heaven

Now, does anyone notice in some parts of 'Stop The Game' sounds just like some parts of George Michael's 'Killer?" Listen to the very first part of 'Stop The Game.' That synth line. Then, go over to 'Killer' and listen to THAT. Hmmmmmmm. Interesting

Anyways, I fully welcome Jessy's new single. At LEAST Jessy is writing her own stuff when you have our dear Cascada planning to do a Lindsay Lohan cover

Now, I will say that the whole Electro sound can get very boring after a while. I am not a huge fan of it. Contrary to popular belief, it's not what ALL of the kids want to hear:?:

Jessy's album, the follow up to 'Rain" comes out in October. Let's see what that whole album has in store for us

Any sample somewhere ?

Edit : deleted a double topic and changed this topic title a bit.
I guess some people just never learn to look around before making a topic.

Here's the sample for it:

http://mediaprovider.kennisnet.nl/Media ... 023874.mp3

If that does not work, then go to the official Jessy site

http://zippora.websitemaker.nl/jessy-music

and hit "Links" and go to the bottom of the page :D

I wonder why Jessy's official site is so scattered.

It's a huge mess.

It used to be so nice and organized back when "Rain" was first released...they should really get it back to how it was.
