Hey Everyone

My name is Kelvin Ramirez. I’m a 23 year old college student with two jobs, a huge music collection and a burning passion for Dance Music. Finding these forums was a dream come true!

I always felt alone in my passion for the more Euro sounding music of the once dominating artists such as Ian van Dal, Lasgo, Sylver, Dee Dee, etc. Mainly because I live in the U.S. and that once embraced style of music is now shunned as girl music / Euro trash. I never shared that narrow minded and shallow ideology and never will.

If it weren't for these forums I never would have known about the new Dee Dee release for months! I know not everyone here lives in Europe but for those who do, you're lucky. Being able to see all these great performances live. Its been so long since IVD, Sylver, Lasgo, etc. have been to the U.S. Not only that but the American Idol type of event to select the new Lasgo? I would have loved to see that, even if I couldn't understand a word of it.

It's this overall neglect of Euro Dance over here in America that has inspired me tot ry and change it. Just yesterday I launched an Online Radio Station called "AscenDance Radio - Taking Dance Radio To A Higher Level". My main goal is to show other Dance Radio Stations (Terrestrial / Satellite / Online) that if you treat your station with love and dedication instead of just a business you can get the best of both worlds.

That and to stop focusing on Electro. It's popular now yes but as these forums are proof of, the Dee Dee's, Lasgo's, Anna Graces of the world have not left. They're still making amazing music and this Euro style of music deserves just as much airtime as any other sub Dance genre.

I hope you enjoy the station and I look forward to having great discussions on these forums!

I wish you good luck with your radio station. 8)
I also look forward to the come back of Dee Dee. Love will rise again is a great song.

I think Lasgo and YvD-Annagrace are dead projects only running to earn a lot of money from the US market. I just hope Annemie and Natalie from Cascada get some income from their big success.

Even in europe this music is small because of the economic power of the multinational recording companies.
In sweden for example you have to kiss the ass of two ugly middle age guys just to get entrance to a recording studio and the taste of those guys is deciding what music will come out!

Belgian dance music is not as good as it was and I hope Dee Dee will change that. Germany seems to have a lot of good producers today.

Will your radio station be on internet also?
It's strange that among all this internet media one can only listen to di.fm and the Dj Doboy mixes radio.

I guess I wasn't clear, it's only an Online Dance Station. :P

I would never waste the electricity to even try and broadcast locally here in southern Florida.

Plus I'm really fond of Europe and play a lot more artists (Sylver, Lasgo, IVD, AnnaGrace, Milk Inc, Scooter, 4 Strings, etc) that are more tolerated and respected over in Europe than here in the States.

If anyone has any songs they think I should play I'm open to all suggestions.

Just the other day a user from Belgium introduced me to W&W. I had never heard of them before and I'm loving their work!!

uplifting trance? I like the sound of that. I've sure I've heard songs like that I've just never seen the name be used.

I'm proud to say i have a lot of those songs and even remixes playing. I don't have them all though.

I will definitely look over those songs and look up those artists.

Thanks for all the suggestions. :D

Wow. This is some really amazing stuff! I'm adding most if not all of it. Some I'm saving for a future "Trance At Night" type show.

Not one bad track in that list.

Impressive.
