Covers of vocal trance songs from Belgium

Postby Gino Lebrun » Tue May 22, 2007 5:27 am

Some of the vocal trance songs from Belgium have been covered :
- DJ Manian - Turn The Tide (Sylver)
- Jens O. - Reason (Ian Van Dahl)
- Liz Kay - Castles In The Sky (Ian Van Dahl)
- Kindervater feat. Nadja - Forever (Dee Dee)

What do you think of this phenomenon?

Do you think it will continue? If yes, what do you think the next song will be?

I think this phenomenon is correct. A lot of great songs are covered. Before listening House Music, I listened a lot of Vocal Trance from Belgium and some of these songs are classic songs for me. I just find weird to hear my favorite song (Sylver - Turn The Tide) sung by a man ( DJ Manian - Turn The Tide (Italobrothers New Vox Remix) ).

I think this phenomenon will continue. The next song I think that will be covered is Lasgo - Something.

I think it sucks...these people need to learn how to be original, give us some new songs, not bad recycled classics. I certainly hope it won't continue, and definitely DO NOT want to see "Something" be the next one, that song is already perfect how it is. It was bad enough someone dared to touch "Castles In the sky."

on the other hand...

the Jens O. version of "Reason" isn't bad, probably the best of the cover songs I've heard yet.

Turn the Tide is gonna be released in the UK (on AATW).
Hopefully this will make this song a chart stormer in the Uk since Sylver's original badly flopped.

You're right this cover is very good.

There is a other cover to add to the list:

Concrete Eleven - Castles In The Sky (Extended Mix)

The song reason from diamond (Kareema rmx) still sounds like something. :? omg.. I think they shouldn't make more covers, perhaps an electro house rmx or something new :D

You're right YOMISMO. This is a cover from a Vocal Trance song but not from Belgium.

The original version is from my country (Bryan Adams) and the famous cover is from Spain (Dj Sammy).

After Heaven, there is another cover of a DJ Sammy's song. It's Prince of Love by Starsplash.

DJ Sammy's version of "Boys Of Summer" was a cover of Don Henley's song from the 80's though.

Here's a link to hear the original version of Liz Kay - Castles In The Sky.

This version is better than the Cascada Remix or the Darren Styles Remix. It sounds more like the version of IVD.

its not a bad version the original cannot be replaced. the cascada version is horrible though. this version sounds kinda karaoke-fied if u know what i mean kinda cheap and simple but its the closest version to the original so its good
