Anti-piracy protection

Postby djn1 » Sat May 06, 2006 12:34 pm

Hello everyone!
I would like to buy Sylver's new album through Proxis but beforehand I would like to know if the CD is copy protected, because there is no way I'm buying it if I can't put it on my ipod :( , otherwise I will wait for the German release (which shouldn't be protected). What is the situation in Belgium at the moment on this matter?
Thanks :D

Lol , sorry .

Well i'm about 100% sure that the album will be 'copy controlled'.Why would they suddenly change on that matter ?

Why worry about something like that ?
all you need is the right software to rip the album (you think that copy controlled cd's makes a difference for the world of piracy , i don't think so).Another option could be is to buy and download the album.

But if universal , the german release doesn't use copy control then it's probably (for you) the easiest way to buy that one .

Thank you all,
I have been able to rip nearly all my copy-controlled CD so far with windows media player 9, but by looking on the CD's in France, it looked like the device had evolved and become more efficient (even though I'm sure it can be easily gone past, I'm not that naive, Zaro :P )
I wish I could download their album on itunes or on any other shop, but their catalogue is not available internationally (only in Belgium and Germany)... stupid :(
