Natasja De Witte, aka Kira, is no stranger to the limelight. She was born on 3/05/1977. Her first brush with fame came when she appeared on ‘Discover a Star’ at the tender age of thirteen. Says Kira: I’ve always loved the buzz of being on stage. My mum used to say I was singing before I could speak. When I was 7 I used to dance around my parents house with crucifixes on and mum’s hairbrush thinking I was Madonna.
In 2000 the Belgian model finally got the recognition she deserved and was voted into the final ten of the Belgian version of ‘Popstars’. Popstars weren’t the only people to see Kira’s potential and that same year she also came runner up in the Miss Belgium beauty contest.
In March 2002 Kira was introduced to producers Bart Grinaert, Bert Wilmaers and Maarten Wilmaers. These guys are not new in the music business and have been responsible for records such as: Viper – The Twister, Viper – Blue Sunshine and Montini Experience – My House Is Your House. Remixwise they did several hit records: Sash – Mysterious Times, Groovezone – Eisbaer, Storm – Storm and South Side Spinners – Luvstruck
The first result from this cooperation is Kira’s debut I’ll Be Your Angel which was signed worldwide (except Benelux) to BMG NuLife records in May 2002. (Kira – I’ll Be Your Angel is an original signing by MOSTIKO records Belgium.)
8 years of dancing makes KIRA an act worth seeing on stage. She’s guided by Caitlin (from Orion Too). 2 dancers also make the act more excitable for people to watch and party on…
